The People’s National Party (PNP) has extended heartfelt New Year wishes to all Ghanaians, emphasizing the need for peace, unity, and growth as the nation steps into 2025.
In a press statement signed by Chairperson Janet Asana Nabla, the PNP congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his electoral victory and urged him to prioritize nation-building over political witch-hunting. The party called for a leadership approach rooted in vision, fairness, and humility to serve all citizens regardless of their political affiliations.
The PNP also cautioned against appointing individuals who might prioritize personal gains over national interests, emphasizing the importance of accountability and competence in governance. The statement stressed that the PNP’s constructive criticism would aim to ensure the government’s success in building a better Ghana.
The party further advocated for the swift implementation of the Affirmative Action Law (Gender Equality) Act 2024, which mandates a minimum of 30% women’s representation in key decision-making roles, with a target of 50% by 2030.
The PNP reaffirmed its commitment to national development, offering its policies and support to the incoming administration. It called on all Ghanaians to work together to create a united and prosperous Ghana for future generations.
The statement concluded with warm wishes for a joyful and fulfilling New Year, expressing hope for national unity and remarkable achievements in 2025.
