Businesswoman and philanthropist Madam Diana Adutwumwaa has once again demonstrated her commitment to community service by donating second-hand clothes to the Children’s Department of the Korle Gonno Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, as part of activities marking her birthday.
The donation, which will benefit over 100 adopted children from the Korle Gonno community, was made through the church’s Children’s Ministry. For several years, Madam Adutwumwaa has consistently supported these children by providing clothing and other essential items to help improve their living conditions.
Her kind gesture underscores the difficult realities faced by many children in urban communities, even within the capital city, where access to education, proper nutrition, and basic necessities remains a challenge for vulnerable families.
Speaking on her motivation, Madam Adutwumwaa said her actions are driven by both her faith and her sense of social responsibility.
“As a businesswoman, I understand the importance of empowerment and support, and as a philanthropist, I believe God has called me to give back,” she said. “Every child deserves an opportunity to succeed, and if we all contribute even a little, we can transform lives.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the Children’s Department, Elder Prince Oppong Asamoah expressed profound appreciation for Madam Adutwumwaa’s continuous generosity. He thanked her for her unwavering commitment to the welfare of the children and described her support as timely and impactful.
On behalf of the Children’s Ministry and the beneficiaries, Elder Oppong Asamoah urged other individuals and organizations to emulate her example by extending support to vulnerable children within their communities.
The donation not only brought joy to the children but also reaffirmed the church’s commitment to caring for the less privileged through partnerships with compassionate individuals.
