Member of the Greater Accra Regional Council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Haruna Seidu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his resounding victory in the 2024 elections.
In a statement released shortly after the announcement of the election results, Alhaji Seidu described the victory as a testament to the trust and confidence the people of Ghana have in the leadership, vision, and policies of the NDC under President Mahama. He praised Mahama’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of the country, which, he believes, resonated strongly with the electorate.
“This achievement reflects the trust and confidence the good people of Ghana have in our vision and your exemplary leadership. The overwhelming support for our party is clear evidence of the people’s faith in our ability to deliver on our promises and steer the nation toward progress,” Alhaji Seidu remarked.
The NDC’s success in the elections, Alhaji Seidu noted, was largely influenced by the party’s focus on job creation, skills development, and the ambitious 24-hour economy policy, which formed the cornerstone of its campaign. Former Greater Accra Regional Treasurer, expressed particular gratitude to groups like The Hawks, Eye on the Ballot, and Ghana Youth 4 Mahama, whose efforts in policing ballot boxes and ensuring election integrity were instrumental in securing victory.
“I want to thank our gallant party youth who gave their all to protect the integrity of the ballot during the elections. Their vigilance and sacrifice ensured that the will of the people prevailed. Special mention must be made of The Hawks, Eye on the Ballot, and Ghana Youth 4 Mahama, led by Mr. Abubakar Inusah, for their yeoman job,” he said.
