The Africa Prosperity Dialogue 2025, a flagship event organized by the Africa Prosperity Network, continued on its second day with a powerful message from CEO Sidig Faroug El Toum. Addressing a gathering of influential leaders from government, business, and civil society, El Toum called for a united effort to shape policies that will drive Africa’s economic transformation.

“We gather here today not just to discuss, but to shape the policies and strategies that will define our continent’s future,” he stated. “The conversations we hold today are not just discussions; they are Africa’s future.”

The day’s program featured six key sessions, covering topics such as leveraging digital infrastructure, expanding innovation and technology, ensuring affordable and accessible energy, and strengthening social infrastructure like education, healthcare, and creative industries. El Toum emphasized that collaboration among regional and global stakeholders is crucial for unlocking new opportunities and achieving sustainable development.

Highlighting Africa’s potential, he underscored the need for strategic investment in social infrastructure, arguing that empowering the continent’s people is the foundation for long-term prosperity. He urged participants to actively contribute to shaping policies that will drive real change.

“The tragedy of Africa is not that we lack resources, but that we lack the collective will to drive our own destiny,” El Toum remarked. “Let us make this another milestone in our shared journey towards a prosperous and connected Africa.”

As the dialogue progresses, stakeholders are expected to share insights and actionable solutions to accelerate Africa’s economic growth, reaffirming the continent’s commitment to a unified and prosperous future.
