The Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) returns for its 13th edition this year, scheduled to run from Saturday, 20th to Sunday, 28th September 2025 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra. This year’s theme, “Urban Places, Green Spaces,” draws urgent attention to the need for transforming Ghana’s cities into more sustainable, healthier, and greener environments.
Organized by Strategic Communications Africa Ltd. (Stratcomm Africa), the Show is set to bring together local and international stakeholders, ranging from horticulture and floriculture experts to entrepreneurs, policymakers, educators, and families.
“This Show is not just an event – it’s a movement,” emphasized Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, CEO of Stratcomm Africa and Convener of the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement. “In the face of global climate challenges, reimagining our cities with intentional green spaces is not optional – it is necessary.”
Inspired by last year’s keynote address from Mr. Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ghana, GGFS 2025 reflects an evolving vision: one that prioritizes ecological wellness alongside economic innovation.
What to Expect at GGFS 2025:
- Daily exhibitions showcasing floriculture, horticulture, and eco-friendly innovations
- The Green to Riches Conference, focused on youth and green entrepreneurship
- Masterclasses and live demonstrations in landscaping, sustainability, and plant care
- Fun and learning through the Little Green Fingers children’s programme
- Evening attractions like Music Night, Drama Night, and the popular Fashion in Bloom show
Stratcomm Africa is calling on all sectors—government, civil society, academia, development partners, and private companies—to participate as exhibitors, partners, or sponsors. The goal is to “build a greener, cleaner, healthier, wealthier, and more resilient Ghana.”
Since its launch in 2013, GGFS has become a nationally and internationally recognized event that promotes environmental responsibility while unlocking green business opportunities. It also contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals through education, innovation, and community engagement.
