CAC INT’L Community 4 HOLDS FUTURE GENERATION CONFERENCE 2026

By Gifty Mamley Agyemang The Christ Apostolic Church International (CAC Int’l), Tema Community 4 Assembly, has organized its maiden edition of the Future Generation Conference (FGC) 2026 to inspire and equip young people with knowledge, practical skills and guidance for the future. Held at the church premises over the weekend under the theme “Inspire Today, Empower Tomorrow,” the conference brought together young people and experienced resource persons to discuss issues relating to personal development, faith, career, entrepreneurship, financial discipline, mental health and leadership. The initiative was spearheaded by Rev. Samuel Abangwine Asayuure, Resident Pastor of CAC Int’l Tema Community 4 Assembly and Tema Area Head. According to Rev. Asayuure, the idea for the conference was born out of a life experience shared with him by an elder. He explained that the elder recounted how a piece of advice he had received from another person had contributed significantly to his success in life. The experience, Rev. Asayuure said, prompted him to reflect on the importance of guidance and mentorship for young people, particularly at a stage when they are confronted with critical decisions about education, careers, relationships, finances and their personal development. He subsequently conceived the idea of creating a platform where young people could interact with experienced individuals and benefit from their knowledge, experiences and lessons learnt in life. That vision gave birth to the Future Generation Conference, which seeks to provide young people with practical guidance and mentorship while encouraging them to prepare responsibly for their future. Resource Persons Share Experiences  The conference featured a number of speakers, including Mr. Samuel Desu, Naa Ayele Mensah, Apostle Thomas Kusi Appiah, Rev. Solomon Darkwa and Mr. Samuel Nkrumah, Head of Human Resource at LaBianca Company Limited. Elder Joseph Smith Acquah, Chairman of the Future Generation Conference, also contributed to the discussions. The speakers addressed participants on a range of subjects, including technology, mental health, counselling, human resource management, entrepreneurship, leadership and personal development. The sessions also provided participants with the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences and receive practical advice from the resource persons. Youth Urged to Live Within Their Means  Speaking on financial discipline, Elder Joseph Smith Acquah urged young people to learn to live within their means and develop responsible financial habits. He cautioned them against unnecessary spending aimed at impressing friends or keeping pace with their peers. He specifically advised the youth to exercise restraint when purchasing expensive mobile phones and other material possessions, particularly where such expenditure could put pressure on their finances. Elder Acquah further advised participants not to allow the lifestyles of celebrities or other public figures to determine their own choices. He encouraged them to understand their individual circumstances, set realistic goals and work towards achieving their own aspirations. Faith and Financial Discipline  Elder Acquah also encouraged the youth to remain committed to their faith and uphold their religious responsibilities, including the payment of tithes. Sharing from his personal experience, he said tithing had played an important role in shaping his life. He urged the young people to pursue financial success while maintaining discipline, responsible financial practices and strong moral and spiritual values. Health Screening for Participants  Beyond the discussions, participants also benefited from a free health screening exercise as part of the conference. The screening included eye tests, blood glucose testing, blood pressure checks and ECG services. The health component of the programme underscored the importance of paying attention to the physical and emotional wellbeing of young people alongside their educational, career and financial development. Building a Sustainable Platform  Rev. Asayuure said the vision was to establish the Future Generation Conference as a platform through which young people could continuously interact with experienced professionals, religious leaders and other resource persons. He expressed the hope that the initiative would grow into a sustainable mentorship and empowerment platform capable of inspiring young people to make responsible decisions and contribute meaningfully to society. The Future Generation Conference 2026 thus brought together faith, mentorship, career development, financial education, health and personal development in a single platform, with a focus on preparing young people for the responsibilities and opportunities ahead. Its central message remained clear: the future of the next generation can be shaped by the knowledge, values, guidance and opportunities provided to young people today.
