  Air pollution is now the country's second-leading risk factor for death after high blood pressure-Report this has been confirmed by data from the World Health Organisation (WHO), UNICEF, and the State of Global Air report  which indicate that air pollution is now the country's second-leading risk factor for death after high blood pressure There are alarming statistics showing that air pollution has become one of the leading causes of death in the country, with vehicle pollution identified as a major contributor to deteriorating air quality, particularly in urban centres. According to estimates by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Particulate Matter Pollution (PM2.5) contributes to approximately 2,800 deaths annually within the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area alone. Vehicles operating on heavily congested roads have been identified as the primary source of PM2.5 pollution in the capital. The Ghana Medical Trust Fund has strengthened its collaboration with Multimedia Group as part of efforts to increase public awareness of the Fund’s services and ensure more Ghanaians can access life-changing healthcare support.
The Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Adjoa Obuobia Darko Opoku, led a delegation on a courtesy call to the Chief Operating Officer of Multimedia Group, Ken Ansah, and the company’s senior management team to discuss ways of deepening their strategic partnership. https://environmentalguidenews.com/wp-admin
The engagement comes on the back of months of support from Multimedia Group, which has provided its media platforms to help amplify conversations about the Trust Fund’s work and its impact on the lives of vulnerable Ghanaians.
Speaking during the visit, officials of the Trust Fund expressed appreciation to Multimedia Group for its commitment to promoting public awareness of the initiative and helping to connect people in need with available support.

The Fund noted that media partnerships remain critical in reaching communities across the country, educating the public about available healthcare assistance, and ensuring that no Ghanaian is left behind due to a lack of information.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund said it looks forward to building on the existing relationship with Multimedia Group as both institutions work together to expand awareness and bring hope to individuals and families seeking medical support.
According to the Fund, timely access to information can often be the difference between suffering in silence and receiving the help needed, making strategic media collaborations an essential component of its outreach efforts.
