The Head of Puma Energy, Africa, Mr. Ben Ouattara, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Esq.

Mr. Ouattara, who is on a working visit to Ghana, thanked the NPA for its support and cooperation with Puma Energy, which has enabled the company to thrive in the country.

He reaffirmed Puma Energy’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the Authority for the benefit of Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry.

Mr. Ouattara said the company is diversifying into strategic areas where it has expertise and can add greater value to the country’s economy. He added that Puma Energy is also expanding its operations across Africa, with Ghana serving as the hub of its sub-regional operations.

Responding, Mr. Tameklo noted that H.E. President John Dramani Mahama’s vision is to create an enabling environment for the private sector to serve as the engine of economic growth.

He said the NPA is committed to advancing the President’s vision by creating a conducive environment for companies in the downstream petroleum industry to operate successfully and recoup their investments.

Mr. Tameklo observed that the downstream petroleum industry has significant infrastructure gaps and encouraged the private sector to invest in those areas.

The Chief Executive lauded Puma Energy as an important partner in the downstream petroleum industry, noting that “the work Puma Energy does is well established.”

He further acknowledged the company’s strong presence in the aviation turbine kerosene sector and reiterated the Authority’s readiness to deepen its partnership with Puma Energy to support the company’s growth and attract further investment into Ghana.

The Puma Energy delegation included Mr. Lanzeni Coulibaly, General Manager, Puma Energy Ghana, and Mr. Daniel Reppah, Commercial Manager, Puma Energy Ghana.
