The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has launched the Cybersecurity Industry Forum at the Ghana Shippers Authority Conference Room, bringing together key players in the industry to collaborate on safeguarding Ghana’s digital future.

Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, Director-General of the CSA, emphasized the growing importance of cybersecurity as digital threats become more sophisticated.

With the Cybersecurity Act 2020 (Act 1038) as a foundation, the Forum aims to foster collaboration among industry leaders, practitioners, and stakeholders. It will serve as a bridge between the CSA and the industry, providing the private sector with a voice in shaping Ghana’s cybersecurity policies.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako highlighted the industry’s critical role in protecting the nation’s digital infrastructure, calling on professionals to fully engage with the Forum to enhance Ghana’s digital resilience. He also announced the inauguration of Independent Assessors who will support CSA’s regulatory efforts, stressing the importance of high ethical standards and professionalism in their duties.

The Forum will also play a significant role in developing industry codes that promote self-regulation and enhance cybersecurity standards across sectors. By creating a collaborative and transparent environment, the Forum is expected to strengthen trust among the public, industry, and government.

Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, was acknowledged for her leadership and ongoing support in driving cybersecurity development in Ghana.

The Forum’s launch marks a major milestone in the country’s efforts to protect its digital economy and build a safer cyberspace for all Ghanaians.
