The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced the successful disbursement of outstanding teacher trainee allowances for the 2023/2024 academic year. A total of 65,685 students across 46 Public Colleges of Education in Ghana have received payments covering a three-month arrears period.
This development brings much-needed financial relief to the affected students, reaffirming the SLTF’s commitment to supporting tertiary education financing in Ghana. The disbursement, according to the Fund, aligns with the government’s broader reset agenda aimed at bolstering support systems within the education sector to ensure smooth academic progression.
In a statement issued on April 10, 2025, the SLTF emphasized that it is putting in place robust measures to enhance the consistency, transparency, and efficiency of future disbursements in accordance with established policy directives.
The Fund reiterated its unwavering dedication to delivering timely and reliable financial support services to Ghana’s future educators and leaders.
