A New Masjid was built in Mimpeasem, north Gonja district to Bolster Community Unity.

The community of Mimpeasem in the North Gonja District reached a historic milestone today with the official commissioning of its new ultra-modern Masjid. The ceremony, held during the auspicious Jumu’ah prayers, brought together traditional rulers, religious leaders and the general public.

The project, which was birthed out of a need for a larger worship and educational space, stands as a testament to the power of community collaboration and philanthropy.
Beyond its role as a place of prayer, the facility is designed to serve as a hub for Islamic education (Madrasah) and a center for social dialogue.

During the inaugural ceremony, Fatigitowura Issaka Sakibu Takora emphasized that the masjid should serve as a “beacon of peace and a sanctuary for all,” urging the youth to utilize the space for spiritual and intellectual growth.

Simbunwura, Chief of Mimpeasem and his elders expressed their gratitude to the donors, the facilitators, (ANC poverty relief CIC), supervisors (The Issaka Foundation) and workers who ensured the project’s completion, noting that the infrastructure significantly elevates the district’s profile.

The North Gonja District Assembly representatives present praised the project as a vital contribution to the social fabric of the region, aligning with broader goals of community-led development.

Fatigitowura also presented 270kgs of sugar to the chief and the people of the Mimpeasem
