Mr. Gyamfi Felix has officially taken over as the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA) following a brief ceremony held at the NSA headquarters in Accra. His appointment marks a significant leadership transition, with stakeholders anticipating continuity and innovative strides in the Authority’s operations.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Gyamfi lauded his predecessor, describing him as a “forward thinker” whose contributions left an indelible mark on the NSA. He outlined his vision, emphasizing food production, strategic partnerships, and operational efficiency as the pillars of his agenda.

“With growing food inflation and vast arable lands at our disposal, the NSA has an opportunity to address unemployment and food insecurity through increased agricultural production,” he stated. “By utilizing our farms, we can reduce reliance on food imports and create sustainable solutions for the nation.”

Mr. Gyamfi called on the Authority’s directors to collaborate with him in driving transformative initiatives. “I cannot do this alone. I urge all directors and stakeholders to support the vision for a more robust and effective NSA that serves the greater good of Ghana,” he appealed.

He also highlighted the importance of partnerships, stressing that collaboration with key stakeholders would be pivotal in advancing the NSA’s development agenda.

Addressing the Authority’s catering services, Mr. Gyamfi unveiled plans to expand operations into a 24-hour service to maximize capacity and efficiency. “This will enable the Authority to better meet the demands of its customers. We can do it if we fix our minds to it, so we can compete with other eateries around our enclave,” he stated.

Acting Deputy Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh expressed gratitude to the outgoing leadership and commended the NSA team for their commitment. She pledged to build upon the foundation laid by the previous administration while fostering a harmonious working environment.

The transition signals a new chapter for the NSA, as it seeks to align its operations with national development goals.
