The newly elected Executive Member of the Madina Constituency, Mr Stephen Guy Bile-Blay, has expressed profound gratitude to delegates for reposing confidence in him and electing him to serve the party for the next four years.
Mr Bile-Blay was elected as Executive Member during the constituency executive elections held on Saturday, 24th and Sunday, 25th October, 2026, after polling votes to emerge victorious.
Speaking to The Daily Democrat Newspaper after his election in Madina, Mr Bile-Blay said the victory was not for him alone, but for the entire constituency.
I am humbled and honoured by the confidence you have reposed in me. This victory belongs to all of us, the delegates, the branches, the polling station executives and every loyal party member in Madina, he said.
He thanked his fellow contestants for a clean and healthy contest, and called for unity, saying the time for campaigning is over and the time for building the party is now.
I want to thank my contenders for a good fight. We are one family. I extend a hand of friendship to all of them. We need everyone on board to move Madina forward, he added.
Mr Bile-Blay also thanked the Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, the outgoing executives, the constituency election committee, the Electoral Commission, and the security services for ensuring a peaceful and transparent election.
He assured delegates that he will not disappoint them, and pledged to work hard, be accessible, and work in unity with the Chairman and all other executives to strengthen the party structures from branch to constituency level.
My promise to you is simple. I will serve with humility, loyalty and dedication. I will be available to all branches. I will work with the Chairman and the entire executive body to make Madina stronger and to deliver victory for our party in 2028, he said.
He called on all party members, especially the youth, women and the Zongo Caucus, to remain united and committed to the party’s agenda.
Let us put our differences aside. Let us unite. Let us work together as one team, with one goal, victory for Madina and victory for Ghana, he stated.
Supporters and delegates at Madina who spoke to this reporter described Mr Bile-Blay as hardworking, humble and a grassroots person who deserves the position.
The election forms part of the nationwide constituency executive elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to elect executives to manage the affairs of the party at the grassroots for the next four years.
