The Founder of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako has indicated his commitment to create a conducive business environment for Ghanaian businesses that import goods into the country.
He emphasized that it is not only in China that one can travel to do business and added that the same business can be done in Ghana where Ghanaian businesses can trade with their counterparts in Nigeria and other African countries.
Nana Kwame Bediako made this known during an interaction with the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) in Accra as part of measures to enable him to come out with a solid people’s manifesto.

Nana Bediako assured that the government of the New Force Movement would only establish international relations with the international communities and not allow them to influence the governance system, date for the country, and control the market pace.
According to him, he believes that Ghanaian businesses should also be allowed to be in charge of importing bulk goods to enable the currency to stay in the country and avoid a situation where foreign businesses would send the money to their home countries.

He explained that taxes are not the only available options to generate money for the country but said, that when businesses are supported to stand on their feet to expand, they can generate more money for Ghana.
“I can not do much about the taxes but, what I can do is that, if the businessmen and women in the country who import goods, decided to bring the very machines that used to produce the same imported goods they go in for, their suppliers to industrialized our raw materials to produce the same goods they import, I will grant them tax-free”.

He noted that if about a thousand Ghanaian businessmen and women had been given tax-free on the importation of industrialized machines, all the huge monies that they used to import goods from outside,l would begin to remain in the country to boom the economy and businesses would improve likewise, making people rich.

Nana Kwame Bediako averred that, when an economy is booming, it means that a lot of people come to purchase goods from you and also, there are a lot of businesses in the country, making more money to remain since it doesn’t go out.
“If we take the money to China to purchase goods and come and pay taxes, sell to people, and take the monies back, it is the economy that is being destroyed. I want to stop that thing. I want to resist importation from 90 percent to 50 percent to enable us to get the power of exportation”.
Foreign influences he indicated, have become a platform that dates Ghana’s political principles. “That is the first thing we need to change. Why should we govern our nation by foreign influence?. That doesn’t mean I want to cut the foreigners out. I just want to build a nation that will have international commercial relations. When you start producing your own goods, you have to get international relations”.

He further emphasized that when you have God on your side, there is no need to fear man. “Because I came with strength, I know that if we can cut these foreign influences, everybody will sit down and listen to us. As a nation and as a country, we will start building our own economy and they have to respect us”.
