The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) for New Nsutam Senior High Technical School (NSUTECH), has built a new urinal for both boys and girls to replace the over aged one built in the 80s

In an interview, the PTA Chairmen, Rev. Emmanuel Ghartey Hanson. after the commissioning and handing over of the project revealed that, the urinal was given to a contractor who, decided to use the services of students to put up the actual structure including painting and drawings.

The handing over ceremony was done during a special PTA meeting jointly organized for form two students and parents.

A week earlier, a classroom block constructed under GETFUND, was commissioned and hand over to the school authorities.

The PTA Chairmen, Rev. Emmanuel Ghartey disclosed that, the meeting held was to discussed about the future of the children and also, to present the new constructed urinal to the school authorities.

Rev. Emmanuel Hanson lamented that, the old urinal used to be in a bad state hence, the construction of the new one to give hope to the school children.

He confirmed that, workers who helped in putting up the urinal structure starting from the foundation, blocks, tiles, drawings and painting, were all students from NSUTECH.

Talking about indiscipline which was among the agenda for the meeting, Rev. Ghartey urged parents to seat their children down and talk to them adding that, the current situations is far different from the past looking at what is happening on the TV and social media .

“The children of the day has added skills to whatever they do or say. Before you tell them not to go to a particular place, they have already gone there and are returning. Parents need to talk to their children because, there is nothing we can do apart from talking to them”.

The current PTA he stated has done quite well to transform the school since they took office about a year ago saying, a lot of projects have been completed under their administration including classroom blocks and boys dormitory.

According to him, he is of the hope that more project would be added to transform the school.

“PTA has a lot of project to embark upon. The school lack a conducive seating place for parents who came to visit their children in the school. We are planning to put up a befitting seating place for parents and visitors. The School lack a lot of things. I don’t know why the school have been left unattended to for long being infrastructure and others. The school is very old but it is far behind when compared to some schools that are not old. We will do our best”.
