Ann Heights Foundation supports Pokuase orphanage and widows

The Ann Heights Foundation , has donated quantities of items including rice, gari, sugar, oil, water to Alive Global Compassion Organization, an Orphanage home in Pokuase and Widows within the environs.


The Foundation with the motto, “Let’s keep the smiles alive”, added a health screening to take care of the health issues of the widows and the orphans
The founder Dr. Wilhelmina Anita Wirrom revealed that, as part of the Foundation’s annual Programme, they decided to visit Alive Compassion Orphanage Home and support them. “So, we are supporting their course so that they can take care of the orphans”.

The occasion also coincided with one year Anniversary of Ann Heights Optical Services located at Aienya Mataheko which is the medical team behind the Ann Heights Foundation.

“So, what we decided to do this time around is to come and support them with their accommodation because the environment is not conducive which came to our notice during earlier visit.

The Foundation she stated after knowing the condition of the orphans, decided to go and assist the home with cement, blocks and other items that can improve their living condition.

Dr. Wilhelmina averred that, the Foundation is already doing things for others who are equally in need of support and therefore, Alive Global Compassion Orphanage home are not exception.

“Today, I came here with my team not only to donate, but we also came here to do free screening for them. We also cater for the widows as well. We came here to also have the opportunity to dine with them for breakfast, lunch and also take care of their health conditions”.

She however, entreated young ladies who have been aborting babies indiscriminately to take the responsibility of their own actions saying, it is not a good idea to carry a child in the womb with pains for nine months and dumped the innocent bay somewhere.

“My advice to young ladies is that, they have to be responsible for their actions. If you think you cannot take care of the baby, protect yourself”.

The Founder of Alive Global Compassion Children Home at Pokuase Mayers New Life, Mr. Kwasi Boye Mensah on his part disclosed that, the Orphanage home was commenced in 2005 and has been in the existence till now.

According to him, apart from going for children being dumped outside, the orphanage also takes care of children whose parents are dead likewise, those due to financial constraints on the part of their parents, they have been left to surfer for their fate.

Mr. Boye hinted that, one of the major changes facing the at the moment have to do with accommodation, as the children are temporarily living in an uncompleted building he has managed to put up.

He emphasized the need for serious education campaign since, cases of children being dumped anyhow are on the rise in the country, and call for support especially, from individuals, organizations, NGOs etc, to enable him expand and complete his uncompleted building to house the innocent children who needed care.

He lamented that, children are the gift from God giving to parents to take care of and therefore, if you give birth and refused to take good care of them, you would by all means face future consequences.

Mr. Kwame Boye Mensah however, entreated parents to take full responsibility of their children and ensure that they are giving the needed attention and support to become good citizens in future.

Ann Heights Foundation as part of its plan to help Alive Compassion Orphanage Home complete its building, has supported them with 500 blocks and Cement bags.

Other items donated include, 330 L chest Freezer, Bibles, Books, Clothes, shoes, Boxes of toothpaste, toothbrush and Mosquitoe nets.

This is the mid year program for the foundation.
