In a move to foster teamwork, clarity of purpose, and elevate the image of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Deputy Minister Hon. Yusif Sulemana on Monday, May 5, 2025, chaired a meeting with the heads and deputies of communication units across the Ministry’s agencies.
The meeting, held at the Ministry, aimed to provide a platform for the Deputy Minister and the newly appointed Chief Director to engage with the communication leads on strengthening the Ministry’s reputation through a streamlined, cohesive strategy.
In his welcome remarks, Acting Chief Director Mr. Innocent Haligah emphasized the urgent need for each agency to develop a documented communication strategy. This, he said, would help close communication gaps, enhance public engagement, and promote the Ministry’s policies and programs effectively.
Addressing the communication staff, Hon. Sulemana stressed the importance of unity and collaboration to ensure effective messaging across all agencies.
He called for well-defined structures within communication units to clarify roles, prevent conflicts, and reduce internal tensions.
“We must form a stronger team and build a positive image for our Ministry, which interacts with the public daily. Let us be orderly and clear about our roles,” he urged.
The Deputy Minister reminded the team of their duty to serve the nation, urging them to avoid partisanship and fully align with the government’s transformative agenda under the leadership of Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah.
“We have one country—Ghana—to serve. While we may belong to different political parties, our loyalty must lie with the nation,” he emphasized.
He called for a synchronized, strategic communication framework to enable seamless coordination and impactful public relations efforts across all agencies.
He further encouraged knowledge-sharing and mutual support, stressing that no agency should operate in isolation. Collaboration, he noted, is essential to achieving institutional goals.
Director of Communications Mawusi Mawuenyefia reinforced the Deputy Minister’s message, urging the PR teams to maintain a unified front.
“Our strength lies in our ability to work together—sharing insights, supporting each other, and presenting a cohesive message to the public,” she added.
