The newly appointed Managing Director of SIC Life, Ing. Lawyer Solomon Twum Barima, has assured staff of a collaborative and dynamic leadership approach aimed at advancing the company’s corporate objectives.
During his maiden engagement with management and staff, he emphasized the core values of integrity, transparency, teamwork, hard work, efficiency, and effectiveness as the foundation of his administration. He urged the team to contribute meaningfully to national development, aligning with the broader vision of resetting Ghana’s economic trajectory under President John Dramani Mahama.
Ing. Twum Barima, who brings over 22 years of experience spanning manufacturing, insurance, law, risk management, and finance, steps into his new role with a wealth of expertise. He has held key leadership positions, including his most recent role as Chief Operations Officer of GLICO General Insurance Ltd., where he played a strategic role in driving business growth.
A Chartered Insurer, Professional Engineer, Risk Management Expert, Lawyer, and Certified Loss Adjuster, he is known for his multidisciplinary approach to solving complex challenges. His career began as an Assistant Production Manager in the manufacturing sector before transitioning into insurance as a Risk Engineer at SIC Insurance. He later served as Head of Claims and Risk Management at Imperial General Assurance, further cementing his reputation in Ghana’s insurance industry.
His technical acumen in risk assessment, underwriting, loss adjusting, and claims management has facilitated major transactions across key sectors such as construction, gold trading, oil and gas, and commodities trading.
As he assumes leadership at SIC Life, Ing. Twum Barima expressed confidence in the company’s potential, calling for unity and dedication among staff to achieve long-term success. The management and staff pledged their support, expressing optimism for a new era of growth under his leadership.
