There Is Hope For Ghana–Dr Duffuor to Ghanaians

Former Minister Finance and Economic Planning, Dr Kwabenya Duffuor has filed his nomination forms and other relevant electoral documents to contest the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer race come May 13, 2023, with call on Ghanaians not to lose hope since the next NDC government would restore hope and national pride.

The visibly joyful Kwabena Duffuor himself has led his campaign team and supporters to submit the form on Thursday March 23, 2023 at the NDC headquarters at Adabraka in Accra.

The former Governor of Bank of Ghana will be contesting the election with former President John Dramani Mahama former Kumasi Mayor; Kojo Bonsu and UK-based businessman, Ernest Kobeah.

Addressing crowded supporters and members of the NDC who trooped to the Adabkaka headquarters of the party to catch grimp of Dr Duffuor as he filled his normination forms, the former Governor of Bank thanked all the rank and file of the NDC for supporting him to file his nomination forms.

“l thanked all of you the members and supporters of the NDC family who travelled from far and near in Accra to join me to file the forms and l am very grateful to all of you.

“Today l have submitted the forms that were picked for me on my behalf for a month ago, the submission of the forms general means that we are ready to start the battle. So today we are starting the battle. For the month now l have been talking about the grassroot members of the NDC that the power belong to you.

“The power is yours, therefore it is the time for the grassroot members to take the power and use it and vote hopefully so that our lives would change. My brother and sisters we know what are going on in this country. We know that you are going through sufferings and hardships, there are no jobs for the teeming youths and people in the country, you don’t have jobs to do, that is why the NDC is coming back to save the lives of the people.

“The former late President Prof John Evan Atta Mills has done a lot to transform this nation and that the NDC under the administration of the late Prof. Mills was able to save this country. So have come back to change it. And to continue from where the late Prof John Evan Atta Mills left it. The next NDC government is coming to reduce inflation rate again. More jobs would come for the youths in this country to do,” Dr Duffuor assured Ghanaians.

He stressed that the NDC is coming back in the 2025 and that nobody would travel outside for greener pastures because they are would be more creations of jobs for the people to do.

“The NDC is coming back in the 2025, means that Ghana is coming back, because we are going to restore hope and national pride,” Dr Duffuor assured Ghanaians.

He stressed the need for peace and unity within the NDC and maintained that “Let us get together to win the election in the 2024 general elections and build Ghana ones again.

He mentioned that the next NDC government under his leadership is going to focus on the domestic resources mobilization to move the country forward.

He further stated that the domestic resources mobilization would be “our priority when we come into the political power in 2025.”

The Ghanaian financial guru emphasized that the Ghanaians should not lose hope, adding that there is hope for Ghana since there were clear indications that the NDC is coming to power again.

Dr Duffuor stressed that since the NDC has what it takes to run the country and that if there no money we look for it to run the country to the expectations of Ghanaians.

“We are assuring Ghanaians that under the next NDC government the current hunger, coupled with increased in food stuff prices and transportation would go,” Dr Duffuor noted, adding that there would create decent jobs for unemployment people to do which bring more monies into their pockets.”

that the NDC constituencies across the country would have their own offices to run the party administrative affairs

According to Dr Duffuor, the young men and women who are working for the NDC in the various offices in the constituencies would be given some allowances when the NDC win the 2024 general elections.

He thanked the cadres of the NDC for bringing out a formidable party and pleaded with them to forgive them for not taking good care of them.

But the NDC Presidential hopeful was quick to assure the cadres of the NDC that the party is coming to power and make sure that the create pension schemes for them, adding that they would be rewarded adequately when the NDC come to power in the 2025.

He further given assurance that “we are coming back to the political power to make sure that our women would take their rightful position in the government institutions.

“Our hope belong to the women in our party, we are saying the party is yours so the woman to rise up to take it up, the Dr Duffuor’s Ahotor Project which brings on board micro-businesses focusing on social events such as funerals, naming ceremonies, marriages introduced in the party is for the women.

“Any money we make out of the Ahotor project, the greater portions to go to the women of the NDC,” Dr Duffuor stressed.

He maintained that the women are being the bedrocks of every family, saying that this is the time of the women in the NDC.

According to him, it is a high time for the rank and file of the NDC to make the party very attractive, adding that these can be achieved by making sure that the grassroot members of the party are well resourced.

He stressed that it is the time to make sure that the grassroot members of the NDC become rich personalities now and that “now we are going to improve their living conditions.”
