Speaking at a campaign rally in the Pru East Constituency on Tuesday 3rd September, Former President Mahama emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion within the party. *He emphasized that his attention has being drawn to a certain Independent Candidate claiming to be NDC member, stating that the self acclaimed “Independent Candidate from NDC” is ignorant. No member of any party detach him/herself from a party and still call themselves a member.*

“I urge all of you to reject the independent candidate and rally behind Hon. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, who has been duly nominated by our great party,” Mr. Mahama said. “A vote for the independent candidate is a vote against the NDC, and we cannot afford to divide our votes.”

His Excellency John Mahama praised Hon. Boam’s commitment to the party and his dedication to serving the people of Pru East, saying, “Hon. Boam is my son, loyal and dedicated member of our party, and I have no doubt that he will work tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of our constituents.”

The former President also highlighted the NDC’s achievements in the constituency, citing improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education. He assured the gathering that the party would continue to prioritize the welfare of the people of Pru East especially security if given the mandate.

Hon. Boam, who was present at the rally, thanked Former President Mahama for his endorsement and pledged to work hard to justify the trust placed in him by the party and the people of Pru East.

The Pru East constituency has been a stronghold of the NDC, and there’s no doubt the NDC will maintain the seat.
