As the dust settles on the limited voter registration exercise, the Electoral Commission (EC), led by Jean-Bossman, finds itself under intense scrutiny due to its inexplicable delay in releasing the number of eligible voters captured during the exercise.

The public’s patience is wearing thin, and concerns are growing louder. The registration exercise was marred by unprecedented errors and challenges, which the EC acknowledged. However, the commission’s continued silence on the number of registered voters is raising eyebrows and increasing public frustration.

With the Exhibition exercise looming, the EC’s lack of transparency is fueling anxiety and eroding trust in the electoral process. The leadership of Jean-Bossman, as both Chair and Deputy, has been marked by imperfections and controversies. The EC’s tardiness in disclosing critical information undermines the integrity of the electoral process.

Ghanaians deserve better. As the country inches closer to the Exhibition exercise, the EC must prioritize transparency and accountability. The public demands answers, and it is the commission’s duty to provide them. We urge the EC to break its silence and restore trust in Ghana’s electoral process. The nation waits with bated breath.
