The Founder of New Jerusalem Church at Manso Amenfi in the Western Region, Prophet Francis Larbi is appealing to the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo to intervene in a case ruled in his favour by the Takwa High Court but, the Asankragwa District Court is refusing to follow the orders.

He is in all humility begging Chief Justice to call the Asankragwa District Court to order by ensuring that they go by the rulings of Takwa High Court for fair justice. “Asankragwa District did not treat me well and when the High Court ruled that they should do the right thing, they have refused to abide by the ruling and is only the Chief Justice who can ensure that justice prevail”.

He also entreated the Chief Justice to keep her eyes on the Asankragua District Court through investigations because of concerns expressed by individuals who are not happy with their actions.

He disclosed this during a press conference to express worried about the unfair treatment by the Asankragwa District Court and also to write a formal petition to the Chief Justice.

Prophet Larbi disclosed that, he has been on the said land and built his ahouse for over 17 to 18 years but, Manso Amenfi Apostolic Church is also claiming ownership and just about 2 months ago, the Church has come to threaten his boys in his absence after the High Court has warned them not to go to the land.

The Apostolic Church he mentioned has teamed up with the Chiefs to forcibly take the land from him knowing very well that the land is genuinely meant for him.

The District court after giving its ruling in favor of the Apostolic Church, further placed 14 days order notice on his building for demolishing and wrote a note, preventing him from seeking an appeal.

“So, I quickly made an appeal at the High Court and the Judge, His Lordship Ekow Mensah, stated categorically that, the notice served by the District Court to demolish my building is wrong and cancel that ruling. He also canceled the District Court rulings that I cannot go for an appeal. He then told the Apostolic Church not to go to the land otherwise, they would be served for contempt”.

He pointed out that, after the transfer of the first High Court Judge, the new one upon going through the case, served the Asankragwa District Court with a letter to do the right thing about the case saying Justice was not done in their rulings.

The former Register he alleged was a member of the Apostolic Church so when the High Court letter got to her, she hide it and later came out to say that it is missing. “I went for another one and present to them but they said it is missing. I went for another one again for the Court but the Judge says he has not set his eyes on the High Court paper”.
