Children of Palestine are calling on the World especially the international communities, individuals, governments, and concerned human rights and children’s rights, to intervene to stop the brutal practices carried out by the occupation against the Palestinian people, especially children and women.
The inhuman act they are subjected to in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, where more than 14,000 children have been killed and thousands injured.
The Palestine children issued this statement during the occasion of Palestinian Children’s Day and the International Day of Solidarity with the Children of Palestine.
The statement says, a huge military force is being used against them and that, the military uses all types of weapons. “This force is against our defenseless Palestinian people, where thousands were killed and thousands wounded. Homes, educational institutions, health institutions, hospitals, universities, mosques, churches, cultural institutions and public libraries were demolished, citizens were deported from their homes, crops were destroyed, and thousands of innocent children were killed”.
The children further stated, “We are the children of Palestine, the makers of the coming future and the hope of tomorrow, who long to live in freedom, dignity and peace in our dear homeland, Palestine. We are the children of Palestine who have been deprived of the meaning of childhood and who lack security, safety, peace and protection and who dream of a better tomorrow and a decent life far from the scourge of wars, violence, destruction, killing, displacement and deprivation of justice and peace”.
The Israeli occupation violates all conventions, customs, divine laws, International and humanitarian laws related to the protection of civilians in times of war, especially the rights of children and their protection during conflicts and wars.
The Palestinian children are therefore, calling for the immediate stop of war waged by the occupation against the Palestinian people and their children so that the children can return to their schools and educational institutions and live in peace.
Again, they are demanding International protection for children and the application of conventions and laws related to the protection of civilians and children in times of war.
Also, demand for an end to the occupation of Palestinian land and the implementation of United Nations resolutions.
Demand an end to the policy of starvation and the blockade of medical supplies, relief materials, and fuel saying, the right to live in a free, independent and safe homeland is a right for them, so that they can live like the rest of the children of the world.
“We call on the International community to intervene to establish the Palestinian state, as it is the homeland of the Palestinian people and grant full rights to the Palestinian people on the soil of their homeland”.
