As usual, the humble, hardworking, unifier and approachable Parliamentary Candidate of NDC for Pru East, Honourable Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, on Monday, the 25th of December, 2023 inaugurated a football competition ( gala)for the communities or branches within Cherepo/ Ayimaye with Battorkope being the venue.
Among the communities that participated and are still participating are, Battorkope, Domeabra, Kyeame Akura, Mentukwa, Avorkope, Debum/Miawuani, Bachinbacha and Alhaji Akura all gathered at Battorkope for the competition.
INAUGURAL SPEECH AND PURPOSE OF THE GALA GAME.
The Parliamentary Candidate of NDC for Pru East stated categorically during his inaugural speech that the purpose for organising such a competition for them was first of all to identify the God hidden talented footballers within the Constituency.
Secondly, to bring togetherness among the youth within the Constituency
Lastly, to make the Christmas festivity joyous for them.
The Parliamentary Candidate also took the opportunity to preached the word of peace to the youth as we are approaching the elections year, and also told them to take the current hardship, corruptions, nepotism and tribalism within the the Akuffo Addo/Bawumia government as a yardstick to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama and himself, for better Ghana come 7th December, 2024.
Comrades on board with the Parliamentary Candidate at Battorkope were: Honourable Wisdom Kwesi Zor – Former Assembly member for Traditional Council and Former Presiding Member for Pru/Pru East, but now a member of Council of elders within the NDC in Pru East, Twumasi Abonkra – branch secretary, Nurudeen Gadafi – const. Deputy secretary, Amuzu – const. Secretary, Salisu Yakubu- const.Treasurer, the branch executives from the various communities and many others.
I must say that similar gala was organised for various communities within Pru East by the NDC parliamentary candidate last year, and this year too it has been organised for all the communities/ branches in the various electoral areas with varieties of games and first of its kind to be organised in the history of our Constituency.
BOAM is really touching and changing lives.
