NDC Youth Organizer In Atlanta, USA Advocates For Hon Julius Debrah as running mate in 2024 Election

In a recent statement by Ignatius Eugene Darko, also known as Donspine, the youth organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, regarding the selection of a running mate for Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama, he emphasized that the NDC is well-positioned to take on Ghana’s governance in 2025, with a strong desire from Ghanaians evident through the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Darko highlighted that while an NDC victory is certain, strategic decisions can enhance the outcome. He emphasized the importance of selecting a running mate to further strengthen the NDC’s position. Darko identified key characteristics such as persona, background, competence, skills, attributes, connection with the party base, and respect among the populace as crucial traits to consider.
Darko pointed out that the NDC has previously presented untainted candidates of high repute as running mates, some of whom have progressed from vice president to become Presidents with remarkable governance achievements.
Recent discussions within the party and among academics and political analysts have led to the emergence of potential running mate candidates for John Mahama. Darko highlighted Hon. Julius Debrah as a frontrunner among the names being considered. He stressed that Debrah’s qualities, including his political acumen, grassroots involvement, and governance experience, make him an excellent fit to pair with John Mahama.
Darko also praised Debrah’s business accomplishments and contributions to economic development through various entrepreneurial ventures. He highlighted Debrah’s impactful roles as Executive Director of the Ghana Tourism Board and Minister for Local Government & Rural Development, where he left positive marks on the tourism industry and local governance.
Furthermore, Darko underscored the strong synergy between Debrah and Mahama, noting that their compatibility and shared attributes contribute to successful leadership. Darko referred to Debrah’s appointment as Chief of Staff during Mahama’s presidency as evidence of their strong working relationship and mutual respect.
