Education Ministry condemns false Media report against Minister

The Ministry of Education in a statement has expressed supprise about media report claiming Hon. Adu Twum has granted interview or issued any statement to TV3 or any other media house regarding challenges of headteachers without textbooks.
The statement issued and signed by the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng said the Minister has not granted any interview anywhere on the subject matter to warrant misrepresentation of facts.

He described it as a deliberate attempt to spread falsehood and the misuse of the media to cultivate negative sentiments against the Minister without recourse to their own professional tenets.

“These actions not only erode the integrity of responsible journalism but aiso have far-reaching consequences on public discourse and the reputation of Public Servants”.

Mr. Kwarteng is therefore urging the general public to dismiss the report published by TV3 saying, it is untrue end lacks factual basis. “Please rest assured that in the coming days, the Ministry will take ail necessary legal! steps to ensure that station retracts this regrettable publication and issues a formal apology to the Minister for Education”.
