Newly elected Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr.Nii Emmanuel Ashie Moore has dolled out Ghc50,000 to offset part of an office rent arrears he came to meet.

The total rent arrears which is  $38, 000 is a pile up of rent  occasioned by failure of  the past NDC leadership in the Greater Accra region to pay for over  years.

The need to pay the rent has become necessary after owners of the property which is located in the South Labadi area in Accra have mounted pressure on the new NDC leadership in the region for settlement.

Until this new leadership, the rent was kept under wraps although there have been contributions by well meaning members of the party who have contributed towards the paying of the rent in the past.

Already, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt.Hon Alban Baghin has supported towards the rent arrears with Ghc100,000 when the issue was brought to his attention.

Hon. Ashie Moore has therefore, appealed to other party faithful especially those NDC members in the Diaspora who hails from the Greater Accra region to also come and support in paying the rest of  the rent of the regional office.

Inspite of  the outstanding remt arrears, the  newly elected NDC  Regional Chairman for the Greater Accra,  promised to build an ultra- modern  office to  end the issue of rent.
