The Chairman and CEO of McDan Group, Dr. Daniel Mckorley and wife Roberta Huppenbauer have been accused of allegedly using Policemen to terrify residents of the Monrovia area in East Legon over an alleged illegal claim of a plot land in the area.
Narrating happenings on the ground, a resident by name Mr. Frank Tetteh said three uniformed Policemen last Tuesday placed residents in the area in frightened and a tensed mood, after they appeared at 138 and fired shots with the aim of dispersing the contractor and his men who were legally carrying out their construction work on a land.
He pointed out that, several independent searches on the said land reveal that, McDan’s claim that his wife Roberta Huppenbauer owns the land is completely false and that, her name does not appear anywhere on any documentation.
Mr. Tetteh alleged that, McDan is reported to have bragged after the arbitrary invasion by the police that, as long as the NPP remains in power, he will lay claim to every land especially in all the Buffer areas he so desires.
McDan is reported to have flown drones over all these areas and have expressed the inordinate desire to own them through fair or foul means.
It is alleged that, McDan is said to be perpetrating the activities with a close associate called Nicholas together with one Inspector Banini at the Legon police station.
