The Regional CHPS Coordinator for Western Region, Ms. Fabiola Tizala has donated 70 Adult Weighing Scales to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in Western Region to support health care delivery in the area.

She was able to mobilise friends and family members to buy these items at a sum GHc7000

The Health Planner by profession and doubles as a business woman said she was moved to purchase the items as her small way of supporting the GHS from her visits to CHPS facilities on supportive supervision and monitoring where she noticed their nonavailabity .

Since it was one of the essential but lucking items needed by most CHPS facilities, she resorted to fill in the gap.

“I spoke with few of my friends to help me buy these scales when I was ordering my items for sale, and thankfully I had positive feedback from some of them and the rest is what we’re seeing”she said.

Ms. Tizala, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Chabby’s Essentials, dealer in homes essentials; beddings, fragrances, sofa covers, and kitchen appliances, among others, was commended by the Deputy Director General of GHS at the region, Dr. Anthony Adofo Fosu for this great initiative as part of his 3-day-working visit to the area and encouraged others to emulate this thoughtful gesture.

The items are at the Western Regional Medical Stores for collection.
