The Energy Minister, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh joined his grand-uncle and former President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, to observe the one week rites of the passing of his beloved wife and former First Lady, H.E. Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor.
“We gathered earlier today at the Aburi residence of my grand-uncle and former President of the Republic, H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, to observe the one week rites of the passing of his beloved wife, our former First Lady, H.E. Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor”.
He described Aunty Aba, as they affectionately called her, as a woman of substance who supported her husband through the various phases of his political career. “As First Lady, she was keen on the welfare of women and children. She also advocated for men and women to see themselves as partners of growth”.
“We will miss dearly Aunty Aba and most definitely, we shall give her a befitting farewell; one that delineates the noble life she lived”.
