The outspoken Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central and Presidential Aspirant hopeful in the coming 4th November, 2023 NPP Flagbearership elections, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has emphatically stated that, he has no intention to step-down today or tomorrow as speculated by critics.
“For the sake of Ghana, I will not stepped down for anybody”.
Hon. Agyapong sets the records straight when addressing an enthusiastic crowd made up of delegates, sympathizers and supporters after embarking on a gargantuan “Showdown” health walk in Accra.
It would be record that, during the NPP Supper Delegates conference, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong was seen in a viral video expressing his feelings of giving the the President and the Vice a real “Showdown” on certain issue he seems not to be happy with.
Some sections of the party see his showdown comment as a threat to the President and the Vice President but, came out to explain that it is an expression to mean that, he is going to beat the Vice President and win the 4th November, 2023 elections hands down.
However, the “Showdown” comment by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong seems to be working magic for him and is seriously gaining grounds to his advantage in the party as far as the grassroots are concerned.
Since the showdown comment broke up and was chastised by his own party, a lot of people have made T. Shirts out of it likewise, written on vehicles, cars etc which have now become a common slogan in the lips of the general public.
In his address, Hon. Agyapong expressed appreciations to the overwhelming crowd and thanked them for standing solidly behind him.
He pointed out that, it is now time for a person who has the interest of the Youth at heart to be elected as the flagbearer of the NPP saying, Ghanaian youth have extremely hope in him.
According to him, God has gifted the nation with so many recourses that can move the nation forward but said, nothing seems to be working well for the youth.
He However, assured to use agriculture to create more jobs for the youth and also, use it to feed the entire African continent.
Mr. Agyapong revealed that, upon all the powers and position occupied by one of the Aspirant, he did nothing for people in the North and used the occasion to urge them to vote massively for him in the coming 4th November Election so that, he can lead NPP in other to create more jobs for them.
The NPP he mentioned, needed a pragmatic leader who can create jobs for the youth but, not a theories leader with big English added that, NPP would go to opposition if he was not voted for.
