Henery Quartey urges people to exhibit a life wealthy of emulation

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Henry Quartey, has entreated people to leave a life wealthy of emulation in other to end the a better opportunity like the former Greater Accra Regional NADMO Director, Mr. Archbold Cobbina who have been unanimously comfirmed as MCE for Ayawaso Central by Assembly Members.

“In this world, if you are doing something in life, do it well for people to say good things about you when the need arises. Mr. Archbold Cobbina started his politics at Ayawaso Central for so many years. He has been an Assembly Man twice, he has been a Regional Organizer, he has been a Regional Director of NADMO so, it is proper to be voted for”.

The Minister therefore, thanked President Akufo Addo, Vice President and the Chief of Staff for nominating Archbold Cobbina to be comfirmed as the Chief Executive Officer for Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly.

All the Assembly members numbered 16 out of the total membership of 17, voted yes to confirm Mr. Archbold nomination as the newly elected MCE for Ayawaso Central in the Greater Accra Region, to replace Hon. Mohamed Quaye who voluntarily resign from his position as the MCE.

The confirmation of Mr. Achibod Kobina’s nomination by the Assembly Members according to Hon. Henry Quartey, is a sign of deligent consultation done by President Akufo Addo before nominating him.

He further revealed that on record, when you look at MMDCE’s in Ghana, it is only one person from Suhum who voluntarily resigned as MCE through bitterness of something he complained about saying, apart from that, Hon. Mohammed Ababio Quaye has set the record which is unpresidented by waking up and wrote a letter on his own to the President, tendering down his resignation in good faith and thanking the President for supporting him during his turner of office.

The action taken by the outgoing MCE the Greater Accra Minister stated, has deepening the love and respect that people have for him.

Hon. Henry Quartey discribed Mr. Archbold as a hard working person who is very committed, dedicated, very loyal and humble that cut across and that, he is of the firm believe that he is going to do a good job to lift high the image of Ayawaso Central.

The Greater Accra Minister assured to work hand in hand with the newly elected MCE for Ayawaso Central, opinion leaders, Chiefs and everyone to ensure that, the Constituency is speed up with developmental activities.

In an interview, Hon. Archbold Cobbina that the Almighty God for how far he has brought him likewise, President Akufo Addo, the Vice President, Chief of Staff, and the Greater Accra Regional Minister for the confidence reposed in him to go and serve the good people of Ayawaso Central.

He also thank the outgoing MCE, Hon. Mohammed Quaye for living a legacy that is of high standard for him to follow.

Hon. Archbold Cobbina assured to put up his maximum best to ensure that, sanitation issues are improved drastically saying, he understood the concerns of the people since he has been with them for long.

The Municipality according to Hon. Archbold, is facing a developmental challenge and called on the people to join hands with him to move the Assembly to a higher level.

Revenue Mobilisation he mentioned, would be one of his topmost priority and bring more development to the area.

He also talked about working hand in hand with the Assembly Members to improve educational infrastructure, ensuring healthcare accessibility and clean environment adding that, transparency is very critical since the Assembly Members serve as a link between the people and Assembly.
