The Polling station Executives in Dome Kwabenya has disowned the incumbent NPP Member of Parliament in the Constituency, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo saying, they are fed up with her and are ever ready to support a different candidate.

The Executives believe that, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo was a contributing factor for Ghana’s decision to go to IMP.

They argued that, if she would have been in Parliament at the time of voting for E-levey, Ghana wouldn’t have taken the decision to seek for IMF support.

This came to light through a Radio discussions they had with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, the morning host of Okay FM in Accra.

According to the Executives, they need a fresh candidate who can lead the NPP in the Constituency and be able to direct the affairs of the party indicating that, Dome Kwabenya is one of the biggest Constituency in Greater Accra and therefore, needed a serious candidate.

They were of the view that, the candidate elected by the NDC is a though person but, it have become so because of, Hon. Adwoa Safo.

The Executives further chastised those supporting the mantra ” No Adwoa Safo, No vote” to park themselves somewhere and bear in mind that, without Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Dome Kwabenya NPP would still continue to function.

They accused Hon. Adwoa Safo for creating serious mess for NPP in the Constituency. “If she want to contest, let her come but, people should not create the impression that she is the only Messiah to win Dome Kwabenya seat for NPP. Anytime she stepped her foot in the Constituency, people have to hoot at her “.

The Polling Station Executives averred that, the MP does not not feel comfortable nowadays when moving in the Constituency like it used to be before all because, the people are fed up with her.

They disclosed that, Dome Kwabenya Constituency has gone through hell under Hon. Adwoa Safo all because she neglected the Constituency saying, the people have vow not to forgive her or accept any apologies from her.

They noted that, breaking the “8” can only be achieved if Adwoa Safo was not brought back to contest again.

“Her vote reduced in the last elections. Nana Akufo Addo got more votes than Adwoa Safo. At the initial stage, she was getting more votes than Nana Akufo Addo “.

When the host of the programme demanded if they would be comfortable with H. E. Mike Oquaye Jnr, they responded that, he has lived with them in the Constituency for long and therefore, he would be welcome anytime he feels like contesting. “We just need a new person. The has warned us that, if we made the mistake of bringing Adwoa Safo, the NPP would lose massively to the NDC”.

Hon. Adwoa Safo they stated, is such that when she did something and you point out the mistake to her, you become her enemy added that, when it comes to work, she does not have time to seat down but, she is such a person that God has helped so much when she joined the NPP”.

“God did not turn his back to Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo looking at the way a whole Procurement Ministry was created for her without a Deputy Minister and thereafter, became the Gender Minister yet, she fails to go to work”.

They described her as someone with bad character that people find it difficult to work with in the Constituency.
