The Global President for International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250, Her. Excellency Lilian Sally Addo, has encouraged the young youth not to be discouraged in life because, the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 is ever ready to motivate and empower them to be part of the decision making table.
Her Excellency Sally Addo made this known in an interview during the honouring of Executives of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250, outdoor new Board Chair for Ghana and the inauguration of the Board in general.
She revealed that, their main aim which is inline with the UN Security Council Resolution 2250, is to ensure that young people are empowered to be seated among decision makers.
According to her, it is important to empower young people, encouraged, honoured by giving them titles to model UN proper.
“That is why we collaborate with peace institute of human rights who have the mandate in UN to give people titles to be able to execute what is before them”.
She disclosed that, as UN volunteers model for UN agenda, there are a lot of positions for the youth people including Ambassadors who are tasked to go out and work on a particular agenda.
The Ambassadors she stated, are to volunteer their time on peace mission adding that, their main focus of work is to ensure peace and security.
Her Excellency Lillian Addo added that,.training would be organised for most of the Ambassadors on how to go on missions, how to support and how to prevent crises.
On the other hand, those giving the Honourable titles she mentioned, are the Executives whose
mandates are to create initiatives such as Clubs in the various constituencies, by bringing young men and women together for them to push the UN Council agenda.
Among the Clubs she indicated include, entertainment clubs, educative clubs, traditional courts, and others which are all of the young people.
She entreated the young people to join the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 and be motivated saying, they have about 275 young MPs who are behaving like those in Parliament.
“We have those in sports team. If you are encouraged and not motivated, you will always complain about the hardship in the economy. But we are saying, all young people should get up to be empowered”.
To be part of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250, one does not need to be only Ghanaian and, it is a non political organisation.
Among those honoured at the occasion include, the Global President herself, the Country Head for Ghana, Global Women Commissioner, Global Special Envoy, Board Chair for Ghana, etc.
