Mahama leads for peace in Ablekuma South NDC
Through an extraordinary quality leadership of the Former President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC National Chairman, Mr. Johnson Aseidu Nketia, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Hon. Ashie Moore and Hon. Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, MP for Ada constituency and Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament, a court case against NDC Ablekuma South have been redrawn for amicable settlement and now there is peace and harmony in the constituency.
It would be recalled that, two personalities in the persons of Hon. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuye and Nii Amasah were contesting in the primaries for the Ablekuma South seat but along the line, issue came out and divided the front of the party in the constituency.
The matter was taken to court by Nii Amasah Kortey, one of the contestant but due to the interventions of the leadership of NDC and Former President John Mahama, the party is now strongly united because, all the legal charges leveled against the party have been redrawn from court.
Ablekuma South is now enjoying peace and unity of purpose since all the factions have shown commitment to work together with the ultimate goal of seeing the NDC wining both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections in 2024.
At a press conference, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of NGC, Hon. Nii Ashie Moore disclosed that the unity wing blowing in Ablekuma South NDC has never been witnessed before since immemorial.
Hon. Ashie Moore averred that, as the Chairman for the NDC Greater Accra Region, it is his vision to bring back the NDC to power by departing from the old way of doing things with the support of all the Executives in the Region.
The NDC Greater Accra Region according to Hon. Ashie Moore is targeting a smooth campaign during the 2024 general elections.
On his part, the Incumbent Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency, Hon. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuye thanked President Mahama, Mr. Aseidu Nketia, Hon. Ashie Moore all those who help in bringing unity to Ablekuma South constituency.
He also expressed appreciations to Nii Amassh for accepting in good faith to redraw the court issue and pledged to support him as the only candidate for NDC in Ablekuma South constituency to ensure victory in the coming 2023 general election for President John Dramani Mahama.
“Ablekuma South NDC is now enjoying peace and unity and all have shown commitment to work together to see NDC wining both Parliamentary and Presidential elections in 2024”.
He therefore, pledged to accept the decision made by Nii Amassh Kortey decision together with team and assured not to take it for granted.
“My team and I and all members of Ablekuma South will join hands together, move together, work together, unit Ablekuma South and the victory of our flagbearer would be so great that together would be great that today would be remembered in the history of Ablekuma South.
