A flagbearer aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr.Ernest Kwaku Kobeah , has assured that, when given the opportunity to serve as President of Ghana, he would cut down all the unnecessary waste in government and make huge savings on all government expenditures
Respond to how he would go about the cutting down on waste, Mr. Kobeah said, he has run a successful business and would let that reflect in his governance in such that, only useful appointment and cost-effective expenditures would be the order of the day under his presidency.
According to the 44 years old Mr.Ernest Kobeah who is also a businessman, Ghana has reached a stage where the youth are taking over and doing well at various leadership level of which he falls in that category.
Kobeah therefore, called on the NDC delegates to vote massively for him to become the flagbearer of the party , giving the assurance that he would not withdraw from the race like others did in the past after picking nomination forms.
Speaking to The Daily Democrat, Mr.Kobeah said his interaction so far with majority of the party members is yielding positive results and is optimistic that things would turn out in his favour.
“My youthful age will play a positive part in emerging winner in the May primaries of the party. My decision to run as a young man has encouraged other young people in the party to pick nomination forms to contest various parliamentary primaries on the ticket of the party which for me is encouraging”.
He pointed out that, despite being less known member in the party, he is well known member in the ‘Jesus Is My Saviour ‘ branch of the Weija- Gbawe constituency of the NDC party
Mr. Ernest Kwaku Kobeah however assured that, when becomes the winner in the primaries, he would bring all the other aspirants onboard to work towards winning of the 2024 elections but, in an unlikely event and things change, he would still support the party to win the 2024 general elections.
“So far , the Volta region has endorsed my papers and I am almost through with the Bono region also”.
Mr. Ernest Kwaku Kobeah is contesting with heavy weight aspirants such as former President John  Dramani Mahama , Former Finance Minister , Dr. Kwabena Duffour and Mr.Kojo Bonsu, former Mayor of Kumasi
