The race for the next Presidential Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) took a different dimension as the Vice President and the governing machinery forced government appointees and Members of Parliament to follow the Veep to funeral groreque

The latest move was to the funeral grounds of the late Lepowura, Alhaji MND Jawula, in the Northern Region of Ghana.

A meagre 31 Members of Parliament succumbed to the pressure from the governing machinery as a scary 100 MPs shunned the Vice President.

The failed move was to paint a picture of acceptance among the delegates and the grassroots, only for the siting MPs to drop out for reasons best known to them.

Reliable sources hinted that a meeting was hosted at an unknown location with tempting offers for Members of Parliament who will follow the Vice President to the funeral grounds in Salaga.

The massive failure, however, incurred the wrath of the Presidency and top government officials with the reported stripping of positions mentioned from some trusted corridors.

The Vice President, HE Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has been packaged by the Presidency as a reincarnate and Messiah to resurrect an economy he collapsed with primary errors.
